RESEARCH

I enjoyed the short film 'Windy Day' by John & Faith Hubley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cit6iUEEdyo
I liked the way they incorporated children telling an imaginary story and the animation to go with that story. I felt the look of the animation reminded me a bit of the cartoon 'snoopy'. It also reminded me of a cartoon I watched in Religion class back at school called 'Give up yer aul sins', Directed by Cathal Gaffney, were children are filmed in a class room telling bible stories, made in Dublin.
So although 'Windy day' was shown to me in class, as soon as I seen it I was inspire and it triggered an idea in my head of what to base my animation on. So although I didn't come across this video by myself it would be stupid not put it in my research for that reason, because it is the foundation of my idea.
So for my piece I'm thinking of recording my nephew James telling one of his stories that he makes up, for the audio. After I have that I'll think of the animation part to put to his story.
