RESEARCH

I think it's interesting that this video is a still image of a man and stop motion drawings to portray his thought. This is similar to my idea as I am trying to portray James imagination. I like the use of sand, it's interesting and fresh to see stop motion drawing can be used with different material such as sand rather than the obvious paper or whiteboard.

RESEARCH

When I seen this video I thought of how I could use this style in my animation. I thought about my nephew James and because his stories are so abstract, I could have a stop motion drawing. Adding to it the detailed imagery in his story. So in the end an interesting illustration of his story would be left over.

RESEARCH

A guy called Kristofer Stรถm made this stop-motion for Minilogue. Minilogue are a Swedish Progressive House/Tech-House/Minimal Techno music project of Sebastian Mullaert and Marcus Henriksson. This stop-motion is all done on a whiteboard with no undo or redo. So it must have been very time consuming. I like this style, and if I have enough time to practice, I may use this style for my final piece.

A very short story by my nephew James

This my nephew James. He's only 5 and he has the most amazing imagination. I will capture him as he tells us one of his stories. Just like John & Faith Hubley's children in 'A windy day', James stories are very abstract and sometimes a lot of nonsense. But I like the way when i watched 'Windy day' I was brought into the children's world and explored there mind with them.
